Resources
Inspiring and creative resources for all!
The following free resources and links have been gathered to support cultural education delivery at home, in schools, and to help build partnerships across the cultural and education sectors. Let us know of any additions you think would be useful here.
The first three videos are exciting creative home learning activities that we commissioned visual artist Kirsty Jones to create, especially for Wiltshire and Swindon-based young people (suggested age 5-11) and their adults to have fun with and be inspired by! They can all be followed by watching the videos, and/or the PDF instructions, using everyday materials found at home. Let us know if you enjoyed creating your sketchbooks, prints, and collages, and do share photos of what you’ve made with us on Twitter
Activity 1: Sketchbooks
The first of our exciting creative activities for you to have fun with at home - learn how to make your own sketchbook(s) and then fill it with marks, drawings, rubbings and anything you like whilst being inspired by the world around you!
Activity 2: Printmaking
In this second video, you will discover mono-printing and how to easily create effective and interesting prints and pictures, taking inspiration from your sketchbook and from things you can find in your garden and in nature, (including potatoes!).
Activity 3: Collage
The third video invites you on a journey outside, or around your house, to find interesting things to make rubbings of to start building your collage. You can also cut out pictures and words from drawings or magazines to stick on, and add paint and colours!
